Welcome to Kickstart Today - the motivational and inspirational ezine that "makes your day".
My name is Martin Avis and I'm an Internet marketer, business consultant and author. I also happen to write the Kickstart Today newsletter three times a week.
Kickstart Today is a lot of things to a lot of people.
"...a regular source of inspiration."
"...full of thoughts and ideas that motivate me into action."
"...always ready with an apt quotation or famous saying."
"...opinionated."
"...honest and straightforward."
"...plain speaking."
"...a vital start to my day."
"...amusing and informative."
Most of all, Kickstart Today is a labor of love. Believe me, nobody gets up early
three times a week to write a newsletter unless they really love to do it - and
I hope that comes through in my writing to you.
But what is Kickstart Today about?
The overall theme is 'success' - helping you to be more successful for
yourself, your family, your business or in your job.
Every issue contains something to inspire you, a quotation to make you think,
a thought for the day to get you on the right track, and a piece of trivia -
because we all have to have fun now and again!
You'll find comments, thoughts, ideas and full-blown articles on such
diverse subjects as:
- Internet marketing
- Goal Setting
- Time management
- Success thinking
- Procrastination
- Personal Development
And that's just scratching the surface! In well over 900 issues to date
you'd be amazed at some of the topics that have been covered! And as many of
Kickstart's subscribers have been loyal readers from the very earliest
issues, it must be getting something right!
But the most popular section of all, and the one that generates the most
emails each day is the 'personal jottings' section where I ramble about anything
from the latest things I've learned about Internet marketing to the latest
movies I've seen - with a few rants here and there to spice things up!
It isn't boring!
That's my first objective - but if you ever think it is getting tired,
you can always email to let me know. Your thoughts always count in Kickstart.
It certainly isn't a pitch fest.
Far too many ezines and newsletters have become an excuse to send you pitch
after pitch. They appear to exist solely to sell you things.
Kickstart is different. My promise to you is that I will never recommend a product to you
unless I've tried it myself - and honestly think it is one of the best. That
means that sometimes weeks go by without any product recommendations at all.
Kickstart is first and foremost about solid, useful, entertaining content.
Here are few recent observations from readers across the world:

Hi Martin
Just a short note to say that this world would be a much better place if we had more people like you in it. Your honesty, unbiased opinions and recommendations are helping me to start an internet business.
Thank you so much for the wonderful job you do.

I enjoy Kickstart Today immensely for it's wit, honesty and
insight. It is delightful to read, and even though I am not into
internet marketing now (but might be someday), there is always
something useful to me in each issue. I highly recommend
subscribing, and reading this intelligent, informative
newsletter.

Dear Martin,
I am an avid reader of Kickstart since nearly 2 years because you
always give valuable, inspiring and entertaining information.
Much of which seems to come from your heart and I admire your
seemingly bottomless well of content you share with us.
Plus of course you give us access to very useful software like
Keyword Hacker.
But what I really love is that contrary to everyone else - you DO
NOT try to sell something each time you write to your list. This
is very unusual and deserves a big applause!
Thanks Martin for the time and effort you put into Kickstart.

Martin, every issue of Kickstart Today defies description! I've
reached the point where I am deleting most emails from Internet
Marketers without reading them. I'm also finally getting around
to unsubscribing from many of them. It seems that they're all
most interested in what's in my wallet and not so much interested
in what's in, or on, my mind.
Thankfully, you're the exception. Your "Inspirational Thoughts"
-- and your "Power Thoughts" are the highlight of my email
reading time. You provoke my thought process and have a way of
"Kickstarting" my day.
I just wanted to say "Thanks, Martin", and please keep doing what
you're doing.
In Peace,
Ron Rink
I look forward avidly to Kickstart, it's my excuse to down tools
make a coffee and be entertained for 10 minutes.
Keep it coming Martin

I've been a subscriber to Kickstart for yonks and yonks - and I've only just realised something. We must all have our funny little habits when dealing with loads of e-mails; but I thought I would share you mine. I get rid of the junk and the spam, then I get rid of the stuff that's boring - I deal with the business of the day - then I come to Martin's Kickstart - and treat myself to hearing from the Guru himself. I always think of Martin as sound and reliable. I have bought some of his products and some of the recommends - they have always been good quality. I really like Kickstart - and if I'm struggling a bit - I can always read a few lines about life in the Avis family, and it is nice to know other folks have their challenges as well.
Keep up the good work Martin.

Gidday Martin,
As an internet marketer and copywriter I subscribe to so many online newsletters and most of them are nothing more than snake oil selling B.S. thinly disguised as a newsletter which I delete quicker than it takes a bald man to comb his hair.
And then there's your Kickstart Daily - this is without a doubt the best online newsletter avilable, it's full of pure content that people can use to make money with . . . without any fluff, hype or B.S.
I happily recommend your newsletter to my own database because the insight and knowledge you deliver is first class.
